Aims & Directions

At the 1st regional workshop of the AGI's Strengthening Women and Gender Studies for Africa's Transformation (GWS Africa) Project held in January 2002, it was decided to:

· establish a regional network of scholars, researchers and ICT activists;
· set up a LISTSERV for ongoing discussion and engagement among network members;
· establish and grow a dedicated GWS web-site hosted at the AGI;
· launch an electronic journal;
· publish electronic and hard copy teaching resources and
· plan future curriculum development and ICT training events.
