Guidelines for conference/workshop report submissions:

The African Gender Institute’s, Strengthening Gender & Women’s Studies for Africa’s Transformation (GWS Africa) project is seeking reports of workshops and conferences for publication on its website – http://www.gwsafrica.org This website is dedicated to the promotion and development of Gender and Women's Studies on the African continent. We invite ongoing dialogue, contribution and networking.

Reports of conferences, workshops and other events in the field of GWS or reports that gender analyse mainstream events that have some relevance for the development of gender studies in African contexts are sought. Reports on ICT developments and initiatives are also wanted.

Reports should provide a description of the event, an analysis of discussions and provide a stimulating and provocative slant in terms of its point of view. Ideally they should also provide the context within which the conference or workshop took place with references to other or similar workshops or conferences. As a rough guide, reports should be approximately 1 500 – 2 500 words in length.

NOTE: Since the AGI does not have the capacity to assist contributors with the conceptualisation or writing of reports, submitted work should be ready for final editing.

DISCLAIMER: Final editorial control and discretion in selecting and editing content rests with the African Gender Institute. The AGI cannot guarantee that all submissions will be published.

Please submit work to info@gwsafrica.org
